Our Story

Being Oblivious  sounds like a really pretentious name for a blog providing tips for life. Let’s get to know some more details before we jump to conclusions shall we?

The blog’s idea came about when the authors realized that the saying “Jack of all and master of none, oftentimes better than one” holds great significance in this age of technology. Today, we have any course and potentially any skill we want to learn, just a few taps away. While this is great at enabling a generation of highly skilled people, it’s also great to ignite your ADHD and make you go crazy with all the options.

While learning piano is a slow endeavor requiring lots of perseverance, might as well start reading about stocks and start investing. Oh wait, there’s also the opportunity to learn graphic designing and start freelancing to improve your income. Hold on, there’s an assignment due tonight which should probably be the first on priority list. See what we were talking about?

In this plethora of options, we dived deep into a lot of topics from finance to stress management but realised that there is no one-stop shop for all the obvious tasks which are not taught in school. We learnt science and maths but never learnt anything how to retain that information. That’s where Being Oblivious comes in. We are sure you will definitely find something useful here and even if not, you can just learn to be oblivious to the obvious pretentiousness of Being Oblivious (nice wordplay right :P).
